Hidden Triple

Three digits that, within a house, only have room to go in the same three cells - even if those cells still list other candidates. Every other candidate can then be stripped from just those three cells.

💡 What It Is

Hidden Pair's three-cell version: three digits confined to the same three cells in a house.

🔍 How To Spot It

For a house, check where each digit could still go. If three digits are each only possible within the same three cells, that's a hidden triple.

✅ Why It Works

Those three digits have nowhere else in the house to go but those three cells, so nothing else can live there.

📝 Worked Example

In box 9, digits 2, 5, and 7 can each only go in R7C8, R8C7, or R9C9. Strip every other candidate from those three cells.
